Licensed gas plumber, Danny, received a call from a Maitland customer who was distressed about a gas smell in their lounge room. Danny organised to visit the property that afternoon to provide emergency assistance.
Once onsite at the Hunter Valley property, it became clear that the gas leak was emanating from the gas bayonet used to connect the heater.
The customer explained that she had recently disconnected the heater to put it away as the weather started to warm.
Danny replaced the faulty gas bayonet with a new one. Whilst on site, Danny tested the gas pipes throughout the home, from the meter and under the house. No further faults were found.
